About me
I am Christina Pietri.
I run eirmosonline, previously known as Educative Capstone. The name changed in February 2025.
Qualifications
I am a university-trained teacher, but I also have 17 years of corporate experience. I have worked with people from almost every sector, at every level of seniority. I have a lot of practical knowledge to draw on, and I am using this advantage to the benefit of my students.
I speak Greek, English and French, and I am learning, among other subjects, Chinese, German, Spanish and Irish.

The how-to guide for online teachers
When people start teaching online, they quickly find out that standard training does not prepare them for lessons in front of a screen. They also find out that teaching is a real skill and that it needs a set of qualifications, technical setup, materials and preparation, as well as practice.
Most new online teachers try to work all this out while they are already teaching, which leads to wasted time, weak lessons, poor decisions and long periods without enough clients.
I help them get comfortable with the actual work and organise the practical side of independent teaching, so they can focus on their new business and students.

The learning workflow advice to students
Most of what is sold as a method to learners is either a schedule or stationery. Input alone will not build vocabulary you have not studied.
Being a language learner myself, I can tell where things start going sideways. I have many startegies to prevent or overcome the plateau phenomenon.
This goes beyond learning Greek. It applies to foreign languages in general and can be relevant to other learning subjects as well.
I used to moderate a subreddit about this aspect of language learning, a project which is now sunset. The content will be published as a practical how-to 50-week language-agnostic guide for teachers and learners, alongside with its language-specific Greek version.
